Animation-Interactivity Midterm (Dovahkiin)

Having trouble seeing the video? Click on "Youtube" under the video to watch it at youtube.com

Using characters that I uploaded previously, I created an animation for my animation-interactivity course this semester. It is none other than the famous dovahkiin character from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. In this short animation, the character "fights" a dragon that he encounters on his journey.

Unfortunately, I didn't get as far as I would have liked to for this project. I had to cut down the animation to meet the deadline, and that's what I did. But, that's animation for you, eh?
Anyways, my instructor for this course has said that we might be able to expand on this project with more movement and depth of the characters for the upcoming final in May 2012. And I hope to do just that if the interactivity part of the course isn't as interesting for me.

3D Modeling Animation Test

Using a model/rig we made in my class this semester. Had to make the character preform some quick action around 5 secs or so. This is a rough animation and I hope to improve it soon.

Animation Final from Last Semester

I forgot to post it awhile back haha. Not my best work, but I like some of it, especially the cocking of the bolt rifle.

Digital Audio - Project 6 (Final)

Screen to small? Click "Youtube" to be redirected and watch on Youtube.

The final for my digital audio class (Fall 2011) is here... and ahead of schedule! I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this project and enjoyed every bit of it. All the sound effects heard in this video (aside from the background chorus) were captured, created, altered, and synced to the selected video by myself.

The selected video itself belongs to EA Games, BioWare, and/or Lucas Arts, respectively. I do not claim the selected video as my own creation, but the sound effects were created by myself and I do claim the rights to them.

You may have access to my sound effects library if you receive permission from the creator (myself) and if my sound effects are to be used for non-commercial use only. Commercial use will not be prohibited, unless otherwise specified by the creator.

Enjoy!

Character Turn (Drone)

The antagonist of my story: a lone-wolf drone soldier. I designed it to appear as a scavenging genocidal monster that terrorizes Patrick (protagonist) and his younger brother Aaron (deuteragonist) throughout the story.

Character Turn (Aaron)

The deuteragonist of my story and younger brother to the earlier character, Patrick (protagonist).

Character Turn Update (Patrick)

Updated version of a previous character turn. Fixed shoulder dropping problem, along with finger lengths in different frames, as well as his half-cape staying consistent.

1st Character Turn (Patrick)

1st character turn (rough draft) and the protagonist of my story, Patrick. Uniform is of my own design and suppose to be a futuristic military uniform, though this uniform has been simplified. If you wish to see the full uniform, scroll down a bit for a pose of this character sitting down; it was the original design.

Project 5 - Walk Cycle

Project 4 - Blink & Headturn

The fourth project for my animation class. It is an animation of myself, blinking and doing a head turn to both sides. There is no color, but in the future I may add some. Also, the first scene of my animated intro for Crooked Teeth Productions takes place in this animation. Please give feedback, comments, etc., all is appreciated.

Thanks and Enjoy,
Geno D.

Project 3 - Leaf Fall

Third project I completed for my animation class. The scene takes place at a graveyard (notice the tombstone?). A leaf on an old tree gets swooped away by the winds on a dark night. Has color. Please give feedback, comment, etc., it all is appreciated!

Thanks and Enjoy,
Geno D.

Project 2 - Brick Fall

The second project I completed in animation class. A brick that falls to the ground in style. Has colors, as opposed to my first animation. Please leave feedback, comments, etc., it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks and Enjoy,
Geno D.

Project 1 - Ball Bounce

First Project that I had to complete for my Animation Class: A bouncing ball. It is a very simple squash and stretch, something that can be applied to later animations. Black and White, no color.

Enjoy,
Geno D.

Crooked Teeth Productions Animated Intro

The short intro I will be using for each of my animations from now on. Keep in mind that I did not design this intro until after the first three projects (e.g. ball bounce, brick drop, leaf fall). However, I may go back and add it to them later at some other time.

Enjoy,
Geno D.
